Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is offering an exciting Visual Merchandiser Learnership opportunity for unemployed youth across the country. This 12-month, structured programme equips learners with hands-on retail merchandising skills and the commercial knowledge needed to thrive in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
The programme covers customer servicing, sales growth, order processing, in-store merchandising, and execution of promotional activities. Successful learners will work closely with the Sales Account Developer to ensure Coca-Cola products are always well-presented, available, and aligned with brand standards in assigned outlets.
This learnership is ideal for candidates passionate about retail sales, brand visibility, and consumer engagement, and it offers practical exposure to both direct and indirect customer management in the FMCG industry.
Core Functions
In-Store Execution & Merchandising Excellence
- Conduct daily outlet visits according to assigned schedules and objectives.
- Apply visual merchandising standards, stock rotation, and product displays per Coca-Cola brand guidelines.
- Maintain product availability, quality, and visibility according to RED execution scorecard standards.
- Complete iRED surveys to monitor in-store compliance.
- Support customers in placing orders via the MyCCBA platform.
- Assist with promotions and campaigns to enhance brand awareness.
- Provide operational support as required by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (minimum 40% pass).
- Grade 12 with English and a second language (minimum 40% pass).
- South African citizen aged 18–35 years.
- Employment Equity candidate.
- No criminal or adverse credit record.
- Available to work six days per week.
- Willing to undergo criminal, ID, and qualification verification.
- Must be unemployed and not enrolled in any other learnership or full-time study programme.
- Must not have previously completed the same qualification/learnership.
- Post-matric qualification in Sales & Marketing (advantageous).
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous).
Programme Details
- Duration: 12 months.
- Learners must earn a minimum of 120 credits to successfully complete the programme.
- Hands-on experience in sales operations, visual merchandising, and customer relationship management.
