The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and unemployed South African citizens for short-term contract positions under the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).

Contract Type: Short-Term (Not exceeding 10 months)
Stipend: R7,000 per month (all-inclusive)

EPWP: Administration – Data Capturing

Location: 66 Jorissen Street, Jorissen Place, Braamfontein

Requirements:

  • South African citizen residing in Johannesburg
  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent
  • 6 months’ admin and data capturing experience (EPWPRS knowledge advantageous)
  • Youth (18–35 years) and women prioritised
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWD) encouraged to apply (proof required)
  • Willing to undergo computer-based assessment

Duties:

  • Capture EPWP data accurately
  • General office administration tasks

Key Skills:

  • MS Office proficiency
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Minute-taking and report writing

EPWP: Opportunity Centre – Cleaner

Requirements:

  • South African citizen residing in Johannesburg
  • Grade 10 (Grade 12 advantageous)
  • No prior experience needed
  • PWD encouraged to apply (proof required)

Duties:

  • Cleaning, dusting, mopping, and waste disposal
  • Serving beverages during meetings, training, and workshops
  • General office support

Key Skills:

  • Time management and punctuality
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills
